OPERA is winner of the iF DESIGN AWARD 2024!

Pforzheim, 28.02.2024 – OPERA is winner of this year’s iF DESIGN AWARD, the world-renowned design prize. The winning product, MATERIA, won in the discipline PRODUCT, in the KITCHEN APPLIANCES category. Each year, the world’s oldest independent design organization, Hannover-based iF International Forum Design GmbH, organizes the iF DESIGN AWARD.

MATERIA won over the 132-member jury, made up of independent experts from all over the world, with its with its minimalistic design and its soft touch effect.The competition was intense: almost 11,000 entries were submitted from 72 countries in hopes of receiving the seal of quality. About MATERIA

Materia is the invisible induction hob which revolutionizes the kitchen landscape. A glass ceramic surface and an induction hob that together eliminate any boundaries between preparation, cooking, work and socialising. A worktop that becomes convivial: when not used for cooking, the red LED touch controls become invisible and only remains a single, large, matt black glassceramic surface with a “soft-touch” effect. An ultra-resistant glass-ceramic sheet, with its thin thickness of just 6 mm, guarantees incredible resistance to shocks and scratches, as well as being very easy to clean and anti-fingerprint. Minimalist and modern, Materia leaves maximum freedom in design: available in a maximum size of 2470 x 1200 mm, it can be customized in terms of the number of cooking zones (from 2 to a maximum of 6) and their position. Also available in smaller sizes, and with holes that allow you to integrate other types of built-in accessories.
